Xiaomi’s AI Glasses are now on sale, and third-party reports indicate that the product has already surpassed 10,000 units sold—setting a new record as the fastest-selling AI glasses in China. Goldman Sachs also analyzed the product in a recently released research report.
According to Goldman Sachs, the debut of Xiaomi’s AI Glasses marks a further expansion of the company’s ecosystem and is expected to play a key role in the rapidly growing Chinese smart glasses market.
Goldman Sachs forecasts that Xiaomi will ship around 200,000 units of AI Glasses in 2025, capturing approximately 10% of the Chinese smart glasses market. The overall market is projected to reach 2.9 million units in 2025, including 2.16 million units of smart audio glasses—indicating significant room for Xiaomi’s growth.
The standard version of Xiaomi AI Glasses is priced at CNY 1999, while the electrochromic versions are priced at CNY 2699 and CNY 2999. This competitive pricing strategy is expected to accelerate consumer adoption.
The report also notes that AI glasses are now at a similar inflection point to that of TWS (True Wireless Stereo) earbuds in 2017 and may follow a similar explosive growth trajectory. With the launch of Xiaomi’s AI Glasses, this emerging product category could be at a major turning point.
China’s AI/AR glasses market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 56%, rising from 479,000 units in 2024 to 6.962 million units in 2030, reaching a market value of USD 1.339 billion. This growth pattern closely mirrors the 64% CAGR of TWS earbuds from 2017 to 2023, suggesting that AI glasses are nearing a tipping point in mainstream adoption.
It is also worth noting that Goldman Sachs expects most supply chain companies to derive less than 5% of their revenue from AI/AR glasses in 2025. However, as the market expands rapidly, this proportion is expected to rise significantly, providing new growth momentum for related companies.
