HTC’s First AI Smart Glasses, VIVE Eagle, Launch in the Hong Kong Market at HKD 5,999

On December 16, HTC announced that its first AI smart glasses, VIVE Eagle—originally unveiled in August this year—have officially launched in the Hong Kong market. Designed as a stylish wearable for everyday use and intended to work in conjunction with a smartphone, the VIVE Eagle is priced at HKD 5,999 (approximately CNY 5,439). Consumers in mainland China may also purchase the product via courier delivery, with an additional shipping fee of HKD 130 (approximately CNY 117.9).

The VIVE Eagle is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chipset and features 4GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage. It is equipped with a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, supporting photo capture at up to 3024 × 4032 resolution and video recording at 1512 × 2016 at 30 fps. Audio capabilities include dual open-ear bass-enhanced stereo speakers and a four-microphone array system. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. The device houses a 235mAh battery, delivering over 36 hours of standby time on a single charge, up to 4.5 hours of continuous music playback, and more than 3 hours of continuous voice calls.

In terms of user experience, the VIVE Eagle supports multiple control methods, including voice commands, a touchpad, a dedicated camera button, and an AI button. It offers features such as multilingual instant photo translation and AI-powered automatic photo correction, and can access Google Gemini as well as OpenAI’s GPT models. Notably, it is the first smart glasses product to support voice control in Traditional Chinese.
