On April 7, XREAL announced that it has won the Gold Award at the 2025 Edison Awards, often referred to as the "Oscars of the tech world." This prestigious honor not only recognizes XREAL’s strong technical capabilities and product innovation, but also highlights the growing global influence of the AR industry on the world tech stage.
Established in 1987 and named after the great inventor Thomas Edison, the Edison Awards celebrate breakthrough innovations that reshape industries and drive human progress. The awards recognize outstanding contributions in global innovation across products, design, and advanced technologies. Winners are selected by a panel of over 3,000 leading academics, industry leaders, and interdisciplinary experts, based on four key criteria: Concept, Value, Impact, and Delivery. The 2025 ceremony was attended by prominent figures including NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang and Dr. Michael M. Crow, President of Arizona State University.
In recent years, XREAL has made remarkable strides in technology. At CES 2025, the company won multiple accolades, including two CES Innovation Awards, the “Best In Show CES 2025” title, and several “Best of CES 2025” honors. Its flagship products, the XREAL Air and XREAL Beam series, have been widely acclaimed. The XREAL One, launched in December 2024 and powered by the company’s proprietary spatial computing chip X1, redefined the AR Spatial Display 2.0 era.
According to a report by IDC, XREAL has held the top spot in global AR market share for three consecutive years, surpassing the combined share of the second to fourth-ranked companies. It is also the only AR company among the top five players in the global VR/AR market.
