XR vendor HTC VIVE has announced the new VIVE Ultimate Tracker, designed to enhance tracking capabilities for gaming, sports training, motion capture, and industrial use cases. VIVE Ultimate Tracker uses new technology and does not require external tracking solutions such as base stations. According to HTC VIVE, this is essentially "self-tracking." The VIVE Ultimate Tracker is compatible with HTC VIVE headsets, such as the VIVE XR Elite and VIVE Focus 3, which allow users to connect up to five trackers for full-body tracking.
