Meta has made a preliminary deal with Tencent to sell a new, low-cost version of its VR headsets in China, regaining a foothold among Chinese consumers 14 years after Facebook was shut out. the Wall Street Journal reported late Thursday. Tencent will start producing Meta's new low-cost headset from the end of 2024 and become its exclusive seller in China. It is reported that the new VR headset will be equipped with a cheaper lens than the current Quest 3, and will sell to other countries as well.
